High-Definition (HD) World Cultural Fund
The HD World Cultural Fund helps significantly realize our mission to bring the highest quality performing arts from around the world to the State Theatre at affordable ticket prices. We are identifying programs of world-class quality and securing the highest caliber production equipment. High-Definition (HD) opera, ballet and film festival programming is a perfect fit, and you can make it happen!



You help us bring great performances, captured live, from around the world — including the Royal Opera House in London, the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, and the Teatro alla Scala in Milan — to New Jersey audiences. The opera series features many great stars, including Angela Gheorghiu, Bryan Terfel, Anna Netrebko, Ramon Vargas, and Daniel Barenboin. Ballet stars include Natalia Osipova from the Bolshoi Ballet. The State Theatre will be the only New Jersey performing arts center to present all these unique programs.
 
Securing State-of-the-art Equipment!
To create the best HD experience possible, the State Theatre will feature a new HD digital cinema projection system, including a Barco projector and digital surround sound. Our historic theater will feature the second largest screen of its kind manufactured by Stewart Filmscreen Corporation -- measuring an impressive 46-foot diagonal.  The total costs of the HD equipment and technology are $175,000, and generous individual, foundation and corporate donors have provided $115,000 in commitments — we need your help to raise the remaining $60,000!
